Biography

John is a trial lawyer with a diverse national practice. He represents Fortune 500 companies in transportation, catastrophic tort, products liability, construction, commercial, mass tort and other complex litigation in state and federal courts across the country. With more than 20 years of trial and litigation experience, John has tried multi-million dollar cases to verdict in numerous states across the country. John has successfully handled matters on behalf of clients in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Prior to founding Lock Gordon, John worked at the world’s largest law firm, DLA Piper, LLP, and was a founding partner at a national litigation boutique law firm.

John has served as a guest lecturer at Villanova University School of Law and as a speaker and faculty member at multiple legal seminars and symposiums. He further has been published on legal matters. 

John holds an AV Preeminent Rating, the highest peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been recognized as a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters. He is a Partner in Lock Gordon’s Philadelphia, PA area office.
